Whether business is done south of the border, across the pond or around the world, Evelyn Ackah employs her expertise to help clients achieve their desired business objectives. She develops and implements immigration strategies, provides advice on immigration matters related to employee mobility or relocation, and assists with global investment opportunities. Ms. Ackah is passionate about immigration law because it involves people and relationships, which are at the core of her personal values. Starting her legal career as a corporate/commercial lawyer, Evelyn soon discovered she craved the rewards of having more direct contact with clients. Business immigration law allows her to work with corporations and the people who make them successful. The highly specialized nature of business immigration law drives Evelyn to remain at the forefront of legal and policy developments to ensure her clients are fully compliant with the latest regulatory and policy changes, and that they understand the nuances and impacts of these changes to their business and their people.
Carllene M. Placide, Contract US Attorney
Ms. Placide is a graduate of Cornell University and Seattle University School of Law. She has extensive experience handling all employment-based immigration matters, which includes B, E, H. J, L, O, P, TN and R non-immigration status and visas, employment-based immigration status with an expertise in EB-1 and EB-2 National Interest Waiver status, labor certification and post-residency petitions. Ms. Placide has litigated in state and federal courts and agencies on a wide range of employment issues. She also counsels corporate clients regarding employment immigration matters, measures to avoid litigation, EEO investigation and preparation of responses to EEO charges, new business venture employment practices, development and implementation of company policies and handbooks. In addition to English, Ms. Placide is fluent in both French and Spanish.
Ginette Mangena, Immigration Consultant
With over 8 years of experience as an immigration paralegal and a regulated immigration consultant, Ginette Mangena is passionate about helping people navigate Canadian immigration regulations. Her areas of expertise are Business Immigration, Work Permits, Express Entry, AINP, Spousal Sponsorship, Citizenship and Temporary Resident Visa applications. Ginette received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law & Society from the University of Calgary, a Business Management diploma and an Immigration Consultant Certificate from Humber College.

Grace obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. She subsequently obtained a Master of Laws degree from the University of Jos in Plateau State, Nigeria and a Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from the National University of Singapore.
Heather Barber, Articling Student
Heather obtained her LL.B (Honours with Distinction) from the University of Leicester, England in 2016. Upon returning to Canada, Heather completed a Masters of Law Common Law degree from the University of British Columbia in order to complete the requirements set out by the National Committee of Accreditation. Prior to her law degree, Heather obtained a B.A. in History from the University of Calgary.

Jodee takes great satisfaction in assisting lawyers with file management and proving professional and outstanding service to clients.

Alex Berenyi, Web Consultant
Alex studied design and photography at Ryerson. He spent most of his time and money on bicycles, which led to a new career as a successful bicycle retailer. Later, he re-entered the world of design and spent most of his time and money on wonderful new digital tools. This led to another successful career: helping agencies and clients make the transition to digital.

Catherine received her Bachelor Degree in English from the University of Notre Dame and her MBA from Western Connecticut University.
