IRCC is still working through backlogs from the pandemic, and some groups are paying the price, says Calgary Immigration Lawyer Evelyn Ackah

Calgary immigration lawyer Evelyn Ackah told CBC Calgary the frustrating delays a local Calgary man is experiencing waiting 5 years to reunite with his parents as their permanent residency application is processed by IRCC in the parents and grandparents category is a result of the pandemic backlog and IRCC immigration priorities. Thank you, folks, for all the help and support bringing my husband to me. I will be highly recommending you to anyone that needs help with their process or anything regarding bringing their loved ones here. A big shout out - thank you so much; never been so happy to know soon I will be reunited with my precious husband, and we don't have to see each other through a computer screen or have to fly and see him.
