Exciting News about Ackah Business Immigration Law

Good morning friends and clients, I am pleased to share some exciting news about Ackah Business Immigration Law:

VANCOUVER OFFICE OPENED

We have recently opened a second office in downtown Vancouver located at suite 202 – 1226 Hamilton Street, Vancouver, BC. V6B 2S8 to continue to provide our clients with the best possible service and expertise in Canadian and U.S. Immigration Law. The telephone number is (604) 985-9512.

ACKAH LAW NOW OFFERS EMPLOYER COMPLIANCE REVIEW SERVICES

To further assist our clients, we have developed a new employer immigration compliance review program with services to assist you to ensure you are compliant with the new rules and are keeping all the correct documents and responding appropriately if selected for an Employer Compliance Review. Given all of the changes with Canadian immigration law, it is critical that your organization be ready for inspections and reviews by the government to avoid possible fines and other penalties.

Ackah Business Immigration Law is pleased to offer employer immigration compliance review services to assist clients who have obtained Labour Market Impact Assessments under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program as well as those who have foreign workers in Canada under the International Mobility Program (NAFTA and Intra-company Transfer categories etc.). Given the government’s increased focus on compliance and the expansion of Employer Compliance Reviews and Investigations, we believe that it is important employers are prepared. 1 out of 3 businesses will go through a compliance review every year–are you prepared? If your business is found to be non-compliant, employers can face significant monetary fines up to a maximum of $1 million, a ban of 1 to 10 years or even permanent bans from using the TFW program again. As well, CIC and Service Canada are prepared to publish the names of non-compliant employers which can be accessed online and publicly available. We have developed an employer immigration compliance review program with services to assist you to ensure you are compliant with the new rules and are keeping all the correct documents and responding appropriately if selected for an ECR.

ACKAH LAW NOW OFFERS EMPLOYMENT LAW ADVISORY SERVICES

To further assist our clients, we are now offering employment law advisory services to assist clients with planning for terminations, layoffs and drafting employment and consulting agreements to ensure you are well protected. We are pleased to have on our team an experienced employment and labour lawyer that will be contracted with us to assist our clients with employment law matters. Contact us directly for more information.
