Do you want to live Permanently in Canada and work in a Skilled Job?

Do you want to live Permanently in Canada and work in a Skilled Job?

Effective June 26, 2018, the deadline to complete applications for Canadian Permanent Residence under the Express Entry immigration program is now 60 days as opposed to the previous 90 days. However, candidates who received invitation to apply before June 26, 2018, still have 90 days to complete their application, while candidates who are invited to apply after June 26, 2018, will have 60 days to complete their application.

Express Entry is an online system that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) used to manage applications for Canadian Permanent Residence from skilled workers around the world.

The Express Entry system has three immigration programs with different requirements. These programs are:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program
  • Canadian Experience Class

To submit a profile for any of the three programs, you will be asked questions about your:

  • nationality
  • age
  • language ability
  • family members
  • education
  • work experience
  • details on any job offer

Based on your answers, if IRCC determines that you are eligible for Express Entry, you will be given a detailed list of instructions on the next steps, which would include filling out an online profile and based on your online profile, you may be placed in a pool of candidates for immigration, and possibly be invited to apply to immigrate to Canada if you meet the requirements.

Please note that invitations to apply are sent to candidates with the highest scores in the pool. Therefore, if you are invited by IRCC to apply, you’ll now have 60 days to complete your application for Canadian Permanent Residence and your application may be processed in 6 months or less, if you submit a complete application with all the supporting documents. Generally, it is taking between 8 and 10 months from our experience.
