Canada was named the 2nd best country in the world in a new 2020 report from U.S. News, up from #3 in 2019. Canada ranked #1 for quality of life and was ranked No. 2 in terms of the best countries to headquarter a corporation and citizenship; and #6 in entrepreneurship. For the fourth year in a row, Switzerland was voted the No. 1 Best Country in the World, ranking a 10 out of 10 - Canada ranked 9.9 out of 10. Luxembourg was named the #1 country in the world to headquarter a corporation.

Canada Is Business Friendly

Canada was named #3 in the Open for Business category, behind Switzerland and Luxembourg, based on factors including bureaucratic policies, cheap manufacturing costs, a low level of corruption, a favorable tax environment and transparent government practices.
