What is it?
Legal Strategy Sessions are a comprehensive process that includes preliminary research by our legal department and a one-on-one meeting by phone or video call with one of our legal professionals. The session will outline your legal options and help develop a strategy to proceed. We provide legal strategy sessions to thoroughly review the client’s case documentation and recommend an immigration strategy that works best for them.
Once a Legal Strategy Session agreement is signed, we collect the required documents and schedule a call or video meeting with the client to discuss their issues and options directly.
Is it required?
When you call Ackah Law, we evaluate your case through your free consultation meeting with our Client Engagement Coordinator to see whether we offer the immigration services that you require and if we can help you. Based on your call with the Client Engagement Coordinator, a recommendation can be made whether or not to book a Paid Legal Strategy Session with an immigration lawyer or regulated professional immigration consultant.
Who is it for?
There are several different scenarios where a Legal Strategy Session is required before moving forward:
- One of the main benefits of a Legal Strategy Session is that it allows us to confirm whether or not you may be eligible for an immigration category before we accept your case. This is a mandatory step if we are going to accept your file, as even though you may believe you qualify, we need to review your documents confirming this before moving forward. This ensures we all have the same understanding before starting your case.
- The second reason to do a Legal Strategy Session is when the options are not clear and a detailed legal analysis is required. This way, we can review your documentation and situation fully and then provide our legal recommendations. This is especially useful for those considering multiple immigration avenues.
- If someone has already had an immigration application rejected, it is our policy to require a Legal Strategy Session so that we can fully review what was previously submitted, discuss the situation and properly advise you on the likelihood of success if we assist you to resubmit your application. The applicant can then choose to proceed after having all the facts and understanding of their chances of success.
