Thank you again for all of your help making my adventure towards citizenship successful. I am confident that your support was a significant contributor to making the process go as quickly and smoothly as it did. With all of my trips outside of the country, things could very easily have gotten a lot more difficult and drawn out. It still seems hard to believe that it is all done!
Maria came from Venezuela where she was a former student of Law at Universidad Catolica Andres Bello (UCAB). She is motivated and excited to be part of the Ackah Business Immigration Law team as our new Administrative Assistant bringing her passion for service, justice and immigration. Maria and Ackah Law were matched through a program with Immigrant Services Calgary that helps new immigrants gain Canadian experience and skills.
Maria is an energetic and hard-working professional, who has been consistently praised as adaptable and committed by her teachers, co-workers and management. She has been involved with debate clubs, Model United Nations and human rights matters. Maria has more than 1 year of experience working at a law firm in Venezuela.
Since moving to Canada, Maria has joined the Youth Inclusive Program of Immigrant Services of Calgary and wants to complete her studies towards law. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, playing tennis and dancing.
