Meet Marie Baddokwaya Ackah Law's New Associate Immigration Lawyer

Ackah Business Immigration Law is pleased to welcome Marie Baddokwaya to the Ackah Law team as an Associate Lawyer focusing on immigration and refugee law. Marie Baddokwaya was called to the bar in Calgary on January 31, 2020, and joined Ackah Law on February 3, 2020, as an Associate Immigration Lawyer.

Meet Marie Baddokwaya Ackah Law's New Associate Immigration Lawyer

Marie Baddokwaya was previously a student-at-law with Ackah Business Immigration Law. During her articles, she worked closely with both individual and corporate clients to make a wide range of temporary and permanent residence applications for Canada, including several employment-based work permit applications. Marie has developed her time-management and interpersonal skills through active involvement in leisure activities and community involvement projects such as volunteering for Edmonton’s Refugee Sponsorship Support Program (SSP).

Marie graduated from the University of Ottawa, with a Civil and Common Law bachelor’s degree. While attending law school, she assumed the position of a bilingual legal research assistant with the University of Ottawa, where she demonstrated that she was competent in both English and French. In 2014, she interned at one of Ottawa’s top litigation firm, where she was exposed to public law, personal injury cases and commercial litigation.
