The Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker EOI System is now open

The Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker EOI System is now open

Effective July 16, 2018, International Skilled Workers, who are eligible under the Saskatchewan Express Entry and the Occupations In-Demand sub-categories, will be able to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through an online system to apply to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

The submission of an International Skilled Worker EOI is not an application to the SINP but a pre-application process for candidates to complete an online form to demonstrate their qualifications and to indicate their interest in applying to the SINP.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply under the SINP International Skilled Worker (ISW) sub-category, candidates must have a minimum score of 60 points out of 100. These points are awarded on a number of criteria, which includes Education and Training, Skilled Work Experience, Language Ability and Age.

Additional points are awarded for having a strong connection to the Saskatchewan labour market, which shows a genuine intent and ability to successfully settle and economically establish in Saskatchewan as a Permanent Resident. A strong connection to Saskatchewan can be demonstrated by having an employment offer in a high skilled position from a Saskatchewan employer, a close family relative in Saskatchewan, a past work experience in Saskatchewan, or a past experience as a student in Saskatchewan.

The eligibility determination is confirmed using the candidates submitted documents. The points can only be claimed once for each section and there are no limits on the number of candidates who can submit an EOI. However, candidates can only have one EOI profile at a time.
