Marie Baddokwaya is a student-at-law with Ackah Business Immigration Law. During her articles, she works closely with both individual and corporate clients to make a wide-range of temporary and permanent residence applications for Canada, including several employment-based work permit applications. As an articling student, Marie has developed her time-management and interpersonal skills through active involvement in leisure activities and community involvement projects such as volunteering for the Edmonton’s Refugee Sponsorship Support Program (SSP).
Marie graduated from the University of Ottawa, with a Civil and Common Law bachelor’s degrees. While attending law school, she assumed the position of a bilingual legal research assistant with the University of Ottawa, where she demonstrated that she was competent in both English and French. In 2014, she interned at one of Ottawa’s top litigation firm, where she was exposed to public law, personal injury cases and commercial litigation.
